Painting the basement

Friday the basement was primed, and it took a good 6+ hours (1 person). We decided prime the ceiling before we cut the holes for the pot lights, as it's going to be easier to paint the ceiling without the obstacle course of the lights.



The stairs were primed today (Saturday) and I think we'll be doing a runner from Dash+Albert possibly, or a nice sea grass runner. We haven't yet figured out the bannister for the stair, but right now I'm itching for a glass railing. It may not work, as this "epiphany" has come after the stairs have been built, so I'm not sure whether or not the stairs CAN have a glass railing, and alas, I'm not sure our budget will allow for one either.
