DIY Bunting Flags

I did it - I got my hit of colour that I was craving and did it via Bunting Flags. And I did it with a very simple DIY method. :)

(Above) I adore this little nook now.

The little flags added the hit of whimsy and colour that I so desperately wanted....and it didn't cost me a dime. Knowing there was no investment in my DIY route other than my time, I decided to give it a whirl. And I'm actually really delighted with how it turned out.

I simply designed some triangles on the computer in the colours I wanted - printed them, cut them and attached them to a string. Ta-da. The Style at Home DIY route was the next option if this method didn't work, but I was really trying to avoid hunting around Toronto for the perfect paper/fabrics colours.

DIY INSTRUCTIONS & DOWNLOAD TEMPLATE
It's an easy DIY. You can easily do this yourself by creating triangles on your computer in the colour scheme & size that you'd like for your own room. However, if you like ours, you are welcome to download the template (here) that I used for our nursery. Simply print, cut, and hang!

Step 1: I designed them on my computer all to fit on one sheet in the colours I thought would look nice together. I was going for a fun look, not gender specific.

Step 2: I printed the the page on an ink jet printer. I used heavier stock paper so that there was more weight to it and it hung nicely. Avoid your standard letter paper as it will be too thin.

Step 3:
Cut out Each Individual triangle

Step 4:
Tape or Hot Glue to the string

I'm really pleased with the look, and the room is slowly becoming complete. A few more projects that I can hopefully tackle before the little man arrives!
